Weston-Super-Mare and District NT Association

Home Page

Are you interested in making the most of your National Trust membership in the Weston-super-Mare area?  Our local NT Association arranges lectures, social events, outings, holidays and fund raising activities..

The current programme of lectures covers a wide range of fascinating subjects from wildlife to historic buildings. We have a refreshment break after our lectures, and then the speaker answers questions from the audience.

The social events are great fun: Spring and Autumn Sunday Lunches, Skittle matches, Quizzes, Valuation Days and Cream Teas have all featured in the past.  Some of the money raised by these events has funded donations of citrus trees for the Orangery at Tyntesfield, the gardeners' gates at Tyntesfield, and tree number 34 in a recently planted avenue at Barrington Court.  Donations have also been made to larger funds such as  the Neptune Coastal Project.  It is satisfying to know that we are supporting good causes, and enjoying ourselves at the same time.

Our outings and holidays give us the chance to visit interesting and exciting places which are further afield.  They also give us extended opportunities of socialising with our fellow members and making new friends.

We like to keep our members up to date by  producing a newsletter together with booking forms etc. twice a year.  The preferred method of sending these to members is by email because it saves postage, but printed copies are still available for people without computers and printers.

You are  welcome to explore our website for details of future activities. If you decide to join our NT Association, please click on the "Membership" tab for information on fees, and an application form.  We'll be happy to deal with any questions if you click on the "Enquiries" tab, and send us an email.
